Katty Perry's New Song Title Could Be A Diss At Taylor Swift

In 2009, the two singers first struck up a friendship, happily posing up together at the MTV Video Music Awards.

But by 2012 things started to turn sour and last summer their feud was all but publicly confirmed when Taylor revealed the inspiration for Bad Blood was a fellow female singer who stabbed her in the back.

And it seems the 30-year-old is getting ready to fire back at her 25-year-old rival.

It has been widely claimed that Katy has registered the song title ‘1984’ with music publishers BMI, with BreatheHeavy.com first to report the news.
The Track appears to be a dig at Taylor, whose current album and tour are both titled after the year she was born, 1989.

Taylor’s track Bad Blood is about falling out with someone she thought was a friend.
