Kent Hit By 4.2 Magnitude Earthquake Causing Houses To Shake And Woke Up Residents.

The Earthquake started in Sandwich at a depth of 9.5 miles (15 km) underground at about 3 a.m


The tremor affected residents of Canterbury, Margate and Whitstable causing them to run out of their homes in fear and expressing their horror on twitter and other social media.
Kent police were bombarded with calls but confirmed that there was no injuries or structural damages.


A woman named Theresa Foord from Eastry, near Sandwich said "I heard this massive castle and then the whole house started to shake".

Vikki Petts tweeted "So we just had a 4.3 magnitude earthquake in Kent and my room mate slept through the entire thing. Certainly woke me up!"

Some of the residents affected seem confused while others made fun out of it and twitted about it using this hast tag on twitter #kentearthquake.
