The Egbema Gbaramatu Communities Development Foundation, EGCDF, sponsored by Chevron Nigeria Limited in Warri South West and Warri North Local Government Areas, Delta State, has awarded projects worth N85.4 million to contractors in the area, with a charge to the contractors to complete the projects in record time.
Mr. Jude Ukori, General Secretary, EGCDF, who spoke on behalf of the Chairman, EGCDF, Chief Michael Johnny, at a meeting with the contractors, explained that the contracts for the projects, which include, completion of teachers quarters at Polobubou, Makaraba and Kokodiagbene, were re-awarded after they were revoked.
Ukori said the other six projects, construction of access walkway and electrification, connecting the guest house and town hall in Kokodiagbene community, construction of access walkway at Uyabebekorigha community, electrification of six classrooms block and staff quarters at Kokodiagbene community, electrification and water connection of staff quarters, guest houses and town hall at Ogbinbiri community and electrification and water connection of guest houses, town hall and six classrooms block to existing mains in Ogbudugbudu community, are supplementary projects awarded to ensure full functionality of existing projects.
