An Employee Of India's Leading IT Company Fakes Death

Ashok Gurnani, 25, decided to fake his own death after being told by the management of Infosys that he has been transferred to Chennai.


Suspicion arose when nothing was heard from Gurnani after he left his office for his apartment in Bangalore last week.

Anand Pandey his flatmate found a note while eating in their apartment within the week, he said “I was eating moongfali (peanuts) wrapped in a paper when I suddenly noticed a familiar handwriting on it. It turned out to be the suicide note”.

In the note Gurnani explained that he could not cope with the weather in Chennai so he has decided to end his life by jumping into the Bellandur River.

This is a picture Ashok Gurnani saw when he Googled Chennai weather, and this picture apparently deepened his fear.
The Bangalore Police has refused to Jump into the Lake to search for Gurnani's body and his colleagues in the office was not sympathetic to the plight of Gurnani.

However Ashok Gurnani was found in Ladakh, in a Buddhist Monastery under a fake identity.
